Incantation Has Released a Demo on Xbox Series X/S for the Indie Selects Demo Fest

Incantation offers a cinematic survival experience

A new demo for Asian cinematic horror Incantation is now available on Xbox Series X|S as part of the Indie Selects Demo Fest. The game will also be released on consoles in March 2026. To celebrate the announcement, the team released a new trailer, offering a closer look at the world players will explore.

Incantation is a story-driven horror adventure presented in a cinematic 3D first-person style. Adapted from the Taiwanese live-action film of the same name, the game recreates an environment inspired by Taiwanese culture, rural landscapes and traditional folklore. Players take on the role of a mother searching for her missing daughter. This journey takes her to the remote Chen family village. This is a place with a sinister deity, controlled by a dangerous cult. To move forward, players must guide the mother through each part of the village. They will have to find clues, solve environmental puzzles, and collect important items that will open up new paths along the way.

Softstar Entertainment Inc. developed the game and Ostasiasoft Limited will release it in digital format. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store for Windows. The team plans to release a limited physical edition for Nintendo Switch. Includes the game, printed manual, acrylic stands, Joy-Con stickers, mini case, charm, and numbered certificate in a collector's box. This edition will remain exclusive to Nintendo Switch and will be available for $39.99 plus shipping. Standard physical copies for Nintendo Switch and PS5 will be available for $29.99. All versions are now open for pre-order through their online retail partner. Playasia.
