IKEA announced that it would close its small format store at the SCARBORUGH Town Center shopping center in Toronto somewhere at the beginning of next year.
A furniture retailer reports that switching consumer behavior towards online purchases and a limited range of products that could be offered in a smaller store led to a weaker productivity more than expected.

Ikea says 130 people work in the store.
