Hyun Bin And Jung Woo Sung go face to face”Made in Korea“, a 1970s crime noir, will be released on December 24th. Disney+ premiering in two episodes.
In the series, Hyun Bin (“Crash Landing on You,” “Confidential Assignment”) plays Baek Kitae, an ambitious CIA agent in 1970s South Korea who leads a dangerous double life. He works as a government agent by day and runs an illegal operation by night, using his underworld connections to consolidate power, protect his brother, and generate significant revenue for the agency.
Jung Woo-sung (Tell Me You Love Me, 12/12: Day) co-stars as Jang Geon-young, an incorruptible prosecutor determined to bring down Kitae. Woo Do-hwan (“Snoopers,” “Mr. Plankton”) plays Kitae’s brother Baek Ki-hyun.
The series is written by Park Eunkyo (“Mother,” “Normal Family,” “The Silent Sea”) and Park Junseok (“Normal Family”), directed by Woo Minho (“The Man Standing Next,” “Inside the Men,” “Harbin”) and produced by Hive Media Corp (“Inside the Men,” “The Man Standing Next,” “12.12: Day”).
After premiering two episodes, “Made in Korea” will release two more episodes on December 31, with the final two episodes airing weekly until January 14. The series has already been released. renewed for a second seasonwhich is currently in production.
The thriller joins Disney+'s expanding lineup of Korean drama films launching in 2025, including Unmasked, Nine Puzzles, Hyper Knife, Low Life, Dark Creek and The Tempest.
The streamer has additional Korean series planned for 2026, including “Golden Land” starring Park Boyung, “Perfect Crown” starring IU and Byun Woo-seok, and the return of “Kill Shop” for a second season starring Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-jun.
