Canadian defenseman Lane Hutson is one step closer to competing in the upcoming Olympics as he is one of three additional players added to the U.S. preliminary roster.

According to hockey expert Frank Seravalli, the 2024-2025 Calder Trophy winner, like Thatcher Demko and Brock Boeser of the Vancouver Canucks, received this privilege. The three men were not invited by the American Hockey Federation to an orientation camp held in August.
