Second Prime Day Sale year is approaching its final days (it ends at 11:59 pm ET on Monday, October 13th), and I just saw that Dyson The V8 received an exclusive Prime discount that reduces the list price by 58%.
It's not the lowest price I've seen for this cordless vacuum cleaner – it was AU$319.99 a couple of months ago – but it's not too far off. This discount is worth considering, although it has now been replaced by an updated version. Dyson V8 Cyclone which retails for AU$649.
Every time there was a discount on it, I saw it sell like hot cakes. Last year this time it cost AU$399 and became the #6 bestseller in the world. AmazonCategory “Houses”. Our own data showed that during the same sale last year, more than a dozen of our readers snapped up the V8 when we wrote about this AU$399 deal. Soon it was out of stock.
So if you're in need of a new vacuum cleaner and are interested in Dyson, this entry-level model isn't bad at all for AU$339, especially considering the ever-popular model. Shark At the time of writing, the IZ102 is out of stock on Amazon, and the AU$199 Dreame U20 deal is also no longer available.
As mentioned, the Dyson V8 is currently the base model of the British brand's cordless vacuum cleaner. While this isn't exactly the original version released back in 2016 (Dyson made some changes), the specs are pretty much the same.
You'll get a maximum of 40 minutes of runtime with non-motorized attachments (like the crevice tool and dusting brush) and slightly less with the Motorbar cleaning attachment. However, this is usually enough to vacuum the floors of the average Australian one-bedroom home.
Having a Hair Screw Tool means you'll have a much easier time picking up hair and fur without tangling it, and it's convenient to use on beds (even pet beds), sofas, and rugs. In theory you can use it on the floor, but it takes up a small area so you'll have to spend more time cleaning – it's best to use the Digital Motorbar on the floor.
There is ample suction power (115 watts of air) generated by the 110,000 rpm V8 engine. Of course, it's not as powerful as Dyson's new cordless vacuum cleaners (the Gen5detect, for example, has 262W of power, while the V16 piston is up to 315W), but it's enough for general cleaning work.
In my 4 star Dyson V8 reviewI noted its affordability, versatile design, and impressive suction for an older model. If a Prime Day deal sounds attractive to you, grab it quickly or you may miss out.
