Have you ever wondered what you really look like or how other people see you? The chatbot is not afraid to offend, so you can learn something new instead of asking a friend.
While finding your doppelgänger isn't the most innovative use of AI, it's fun and exciting—and that means something. We've certainly seen worse AI trends like this. AI figurine.
If you've seen these “Who Do I Look Like?” Reddit posts double group, it's the same approach. You're just asking the AI, not random strangers on the internet.
Other crazy uses of AI include hugging my younger self, I ask him for beauty advice, let's see how you grow old, creating the face of your unborn child, testing hairstyles And trying on outfits.
I was looking for a specific celebrity-like AI application and saw several in my research. Then I saw that I could just ask ChatGPT by uploading multiple selfies to a specific GPT.
Be polite, ChatGPT.
(Disclosure: Ziff Davis, CNET's parent company, filed a lawsuit against OpenAI in April, alleging that it violated Ziff Davis' copyrights in the training and operation of its artificial intelligence systems.)
Use ChatGPT as a Celebrity Search Tool
First of all, you will need to upload some photos. Try to take three forward-facing photos of yourself that are just you, so as not to confuse the AI tool. Make sure they are clear and relevant. No sunglasses, filters or bad lighting.

I asked ChatGPT if it could do this directly in chat, but it said it couldn't help with face matching because it was considered facial recognition or identification, which is not allowed.
However it can do this:
Boring.
But there is a way around this.
In the sidebar, click GPT. Type “celebrity” into the search bar.
Choose the first one Find my celebrity similar to her. It has been used over 6 million times. Then click Start chat. It will look like this:
A chat window will open where you can upload your photos. Choose between different clues that will create either one celebrity double or several.
I started with one just to test it out. I clicked on Find my most exact celebrity doppelgänger.
Here's what ChatGPT said:
I had to Google her, but I recognized her immediately. I asked GPT to take a photo side by side. That's when it got a little weird. A strange artificial caricature of me appeared on the left – I look like an alien:
I'm on the left (even though ChatGPT did it with AI), Gillian Jacobs is on the right.
I asked him not to change my photo on the left and use a real image, but it made me look even worse due to the AI adjustments to my face. So I did it myself. This is a real picture of me on the left and Jacobs on the right:
I'm on the left; Gillian Jacobs is on the right.
What do you think?
When I repeated the task and selected four celebrity look-alikes, Jacobs didn't even show up. This is what I received:
- Amy Adams (everyday/voiceover style)
- Carey Mulligan (roles in indie films such as An Education)
- Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt era)
- Renee Zellweger (Bridget Jones era)
When I Googled these four women, I didn't see any similarities. ChatGPT came closest to Gillian Jacobs the first time around. It's interesting how the AI used what I was wearing and my “vibe” when finding my doppelgänger, rather than just my physical attributes. I would take this with a grain of salt because things like posture and clothing don't count.
ChatGPT told me I had a “naughty vibe” which made me smile. It also said I had an “all-American” look, which is funny considering I'm Australian.
I'll take that as a compliment.
I asked my wife if I looked like Gillian Jacobs. She replied: “I see it.”
Again, I'll take it.
Well played, ChatGPT. Just don't ask it to create a photo of you and your doppelganger, unless you want to laugh at the jumbled AI caricature it creates.
