How to tame and get Gigadesmodus in ARK Survival Ascended – Destructoid

Gigadesmodus is a dark-looking bat-like creature added to ARK Survival Ascended via the Lost Colony DLC, and getting it can be a challenge.

Unlike creatures like Aureliax, I had not encountered any of these creatures in the wild prior to the boss fight. The key to obtaining it is also locked behind Alpha Lost King boss fightwhich in itself is a serious problem.

How to get Gigadesmodus in ARK Survival Ascended

The easiest (very ironic) way to get Giga mode from his egg. To do this, you need to complete the final boss battle, in which you defeat the Lost King Alpha. If you don't mind using a shortcut, Creative mode allows you to do so.

This battle involves deciphering the castle and exploring the Lost King's palace in search of the Codex. You have to complete many tasks and find a huge wave of brutal enemies. To continue, you will also have to complete side objectives in battle, such as finding lock codes, taking out Guardians, and more.

The final task will be to defeat the Guardians to open the main door leading to the boss fight. In the battle, you will need to defeat the Boss King and the Boss Queen. After this, you will receive the egg sack and all the additional items needed to tame it.

Unless you want to go the Creative route, this fight will take a long time to unlock and complete. This is the supposed final quest of the new storyline, and is the only known way to obtain this creature.

How to tame and use Gigadesmodus in ARK Survival Ascended

Once you have an egg sac, you will have to wait for the incubation period to complete at your base. Alternatively, you can use a console command to speed up the process (not my favorite method). You will receive Gigadesmodus after completing the incubation period.

To use Gigadesmodus as a mount, you will either have to create Gigadesmodus saddle or Gigadesmodus platform saddle. You will receive two blueprints by defeating the Lost King Alpha. You can create them in Tek Replicator.

Between them, a normal saddle also allows Gigadesmodus to glide. This creature grows to enormous size and can cause great damage with its attacks. You'll also enjoy the huge health pool, as Gigadesmodus can take a lot of incoming damage. Although the giant bat can fly, it is not the fastest when it comes to overall movement.
