Why this feature makes everyday travel easier
Communicating your estimated arrival time is quick and practical. This lets your contacts know you're on your way and see your updated arrival time in real time. It also adds peace of mind late at night, on long routes or in unfamiliar places. Most importantly, you're focused on moving safely, not answering messages.
We tested these steps using iPhone 15 pro max running iOS 26.2 and a Samsung Galaxy Android phone running Android 16. Make sure Apple Maps or Google Maps is installed and updated to the latest version.
