Legends ZA has three legendary Pokemon in the form of Zygarde, Xerneas, and Yveltal, and adding all three to your collection will take a significant amount of time.

Zygarde, by the way, will appear during the main campaign, unlike Xerneas and Yveltal. However, you will need to complete the main story and then the hunt for legendary items will begin.

How to catch Xerneas in Pokémon Legends ZA

After completing the campaign, you will wake up in a hotel and learn about Infinite Royale. Your first battle will be against Zack (your first battle in the Battle Royale). Once you defeat him, return to the HHotel and you will meet The one who gives And The one who accepts quests.

The one who gives

The first part of the task involves defeating three Alphas that appear in the wild. Go to Pokemon Research Center and talk to Mabelwhich will inform you of what needs to be done.

  • Wild Zone 3: Steelix (level 70)
  • Wild Zone 5: Gallade (level 70)
  • Wild Area 9: Cart (Level 70)

After defeating all three Alphas, head to Wild Zone 11. On the other side of the river you will find a marker, and in this place you will find a level 75 Xerneas. Use I And Steel types to have a natural advantage. If you fail to catch Xerneas, you will have to start the battle from the beginning.

How to catch Yveltal in Pokémon Legends ZA

Second main quest involving a legendary Pokemon: The one who acceptswhere will you meet Grisham And Grisel. Take them to Quasartico Inc. and talk to Vinny. You will have to fight Mega-evolved forms of Victreebell, Hawluchi and Tyranitar.

The one who accepts

The three Mega Evolutions you'll face are quite powerful, and you won't have any allies. If you are not good at dodging, you may fall unconscious after a few hits. This will force you to restart the battle from the beginning. Once you have cleared all three Megas, you will meet Yveltal on the roof Lunar Gallery in the northern part of Lumiose City.

Being a dark/flying type, Yveltal is susceptible to Electric And Ice. You can also use fairy types, which usually do this well. Like Xerneas, be sure to capture Yveltal so you don't have to start the quest from the beginning and fight him again.

How to catch Zygarde in Pokémon Legends ZA

Once you have captured Xerneas and Yveltal, return to Hotel Z. You will be approached by Lysandra, whom you will have to defeat. Here is his squad of Pokémon in order of appearance.

  • Pyroar (Level 78) – Normal/Fire
  • Florges (level 78) – Fairy
  • Saber (level 78) – Dark/Ghost
  • Garbodor (level 78) – Poison
  • Noivern (level 78) – Flying/Dragon
  • Mega Gyarados (level 80) – Water/Dark

Once you defeat Lysandra, head to Wild Zone 20 (right in the center of Lumiose City). Zygarde will appear there and is one of the toughest battles you can face.

  • Zygarde is a Ground/Dragon type Pokemon that is weak against Ice, Fairy and Dragon type moves.
  • You can use Yveltal against him.
  • Zygarde will make you lock onto your current Pokemon. You will not be able to change the selected Pokemon unless it faints.

First defeat Zygarde when he is in dog form and has 10% power. Then defeat him in Snake form when his power is at 50%. Finally, defeat Zygarde in his robot form when he is at full power. If you get hit by his movement, you will fall unconscious. This will force the battle to start from the beginning.

Once you defeat Zygard, you will also receive the Zygardite Stone. This stone allows you to Mega Evolve Zygarde during battle. You can also use the Zygarde Cube (given to you by Lysandra) to switch between Dog and Snake forms.
