From December 18 to January 1, Epic is giving away one free PC game per day. These games are a surprise and are only available for 24 hours. No purchase is required to access these free games, but an Epic Games Store account is required.
These free games are mostly critically acclaimed indie games, but there may be some notable games as well. Last year the company gave Control Remedy Entertainment and Warhorse Studios” Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

What free games have been given away so far?
Free sweepstakes on the Epic Games Store began on December 18th. The following games have been distributed so far:
- Paradise Killer (December 22)
- Sorry, we are closed (December 21)
- Bloody West (December 20)
- Eternal Nights (December 19)
- Jotun Slayer: Hordes of Hel (December 18)
- Hogwarts Legacy (December 11–17)
How do I register for an Epic Games Store account?
An Epic Game Store account is free. To do this you will have to visit Epic Games Store WebsiteClick “Login” in the top right corner of the page and select “Create an account” on the next page. All you need is your email address and date of birth.
When will the new free game appear on the Epic Game Store?
New free games will be posted on the store's homepage at 11:00 AM ET/8:00 AM PT. Each of them will be available within 24 hours.
How can I play these free games from the Epic Games Store?
To play on the free Epic Games Store, you must download Epic Games Store app. The app is available for PC, Mac, Android and iOS (EU only).
Although the app provides access to games, certain PC specifications are still required to play them. They are listed on the game store page upon download. If your computer meets all the requirements, simply click on the game from the Library in the application and it will launch.
