Marvel Rivals celebrates Halloween in style, with tons of events and the chance to get a free Blade skin. The Blade skin is an epic skin called Blade Knight where the Daywalker dresses up as Moon Knight for his Halloween costume.
To get the Blade skin, you'll need to earn it in the Journey into Amazement event, which is an event reward board directly tied to another event, Marvel Zombies. The way Journey to Amaze works is that you earn Lanterns by completing missions, mostly in Marvel Zombies. With the help of the Lantern, you can roll your chip around the board, moving depending on the number rolled. You will always receive a new reward, so you will need 21 Lanterns to get all the rewards. While you can get Blade Knight for free, premium rewards are included in the Premium Pass, which costs 690 lattices ($7).
Both events will run until November 14th.
Marvel Rivals Marvel Zombies Event
Marvel Zombies is a limited-time PvE mode in which up to four players must complete a mission while fighting hordes of zombies. The mission consists of several waves with two boss battles: one against Namor in the middle and one against Scarlet Witch to complete the mission.
You will complete a series of 10 missions in Marvel Zombies or in regular matches under the Journey into Wonder tab of the missions. Each day a new one is unlocked until they are all available, but you need to complete one before the next one is unlocked. Separately, there is a Marvel Zombies missions tab that contains additional missions based on completion of each difficulty that reward lanterns, as well as small cosmetic items such as sprays and titles.

There are five characters to choose from in Marvel Zombies:
- Punisher
- Magic
- Thor
- Blade
- Jeff Land Shark
Due to the small pool of heroes, you are allowed to have duplicate heroes. Notably, while Jeff may have healing abilities in Marvel Zombies, his kit has been modified to primarily focus on dealing damage. Each character can have variations of their normal abilities, and there are skill trees for leveling up, allowing you to focus on your preferred playstyle. You can reset skill trees at any time. In addition to skill points, you also unlock options for your abilities at level 10*, level 15, and level 25.
*The first ability is listed as unlockable at level 10, but for us it was unlocked at level 5.
You level up by completing missions and earning experience by defeating zombies and completing objectives. All characters gain levels at the same time, so if you play a match as Jeff and earn four levels, all other characters will also gain four levels.
Marvel Zombie Game

Marvel Zombies can be played on seven difficulty levels:
- Normal
- Hard
- Extreme
- I'm a nightmare
- Nightmare II
- Nightmare III
- Nightmare IV
You will need to complete the previous difficulty level to unlock the next one. The progression of the mission is almost the same on every playthrough. You'll go through small areas fighting hordes of zombies until you reach the next area. During combat, you earn points that can be used between rounds to purchase upgrades.
These upgrades are only valid for the current mission and are distributed as upgrades in roguelikes. You are offered three cards to purchase, a re-roll option for one point, and a mystery spin for 15 points. Mystery Spins, which can also be earned by completing special objectives throughout the mission, can give you multiple cards at once, duplicate some of your cards, and other powerful bonuses.

While you'll see a few more objectives during each mission, the two biggest obstacles are the boss battles. When fighting Namor, he will be temporarily invincible at certain points, but you can always damage him by destroying one of the dozens of squid turrets he drops.

For Scarlet Witch, the only major obstacle during the boss fight is the final part. Once you get her health down (each boss will have a ton of health bars, indicated by an “X” with a number next to it to the right of the bar). In Scarlet Witch's final phase, she will begin to perform her final Reality Erasure.
During this, a small progress bar will decrease below her health bar. You need to kill her before this ends. While it's charging, small red crystals will appear from time to time, which will extend your time a little if you take them out. Critical hits affect boss enemies and are needed to deal enough damage to succeed.
