Steve and Terri Irwin shared a love story for the ages.
The Crocodile Hunter co-stars and wildlife conservationists tied the knot in 1992 and had two children. Bindi Irwin, 27 years old, And Robert Irwin, 21 – up to Steve Irwin has died tragically happened in 2006 at the age of 44 after a stingray pierced his chest.
Terri Irwin, now 61, continued to raise her children as a single mother. Over the years, she has spoken candidly about her decision to give up dating after losing her husband, explaining USA Weekly in 2024, which she already had her “happily ever after.”

Their first meeting took place just two days after Steve Irwin took over management of the park from his parents, who founded it, according to official website of the family.
June 1992: The couple ties the knot… and sows the seeds for The Crocodile Hunter.
Less than a year after they met, the lovebirds married on June 4, 1992, in Eugene, Oregon, according to the family's website.
Instead of going on a honeymoon, the enterprising newlyweds decided to make a wildlife documentary, “while relocating a troubled crocodile in far north Queensland”, their website says.
The popular documentary inspired the couple to create the international wildlife television series The Crocodile Hunter, which spawned several television spin-offs and a feature film, The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course.
1998: The couple's wildlife park is renamed Australia Zoo.
The couple decided to change the name of their growing wildlife park to Australia Zoo to better reflect their shared dream of creating the best zoo in the world, which, according to their website, would highlight Steve Irwin's message of “Conservation through fun education.”
The Irvine family still runs the Australia Zoo to this day.
July 1988: The couple had a daughter, Bindi.

In May 2024, nearly 18 years after her husband's death, Terri Irwin told US Weekly that she had no plans to ever look for love again.

Terri Irwin paid tribute to her late husband in June 2025 by sharing a photo from their wedding day. on Instagram in honor of the 33rd wedding anniversary.
“Steve and I got married 33 years ago today in my grandmother's church in Oregon. And that was the first day of my happiness,” she wrote in the caption.
“Every day I wake up with wonderful memories, so much love in my heart and the promise of continuing his incredible legacy. I'm truly blessed,” she added.
Bindi Irwin shared her love for her mother and father in the comments, writing, “Best parents and true soulmates. Love you both beyond words.”
