Houston Texans work out Canadian LB Devin Veresuk

The Houston Texans practiced with Canadian linebacker Devin Veresuk on Wednesday.

Native of Windsor, Ontario. was the second overall pick in the 2025 CFL Draft and made 15 regular-season starts at middle linebacker for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats this season. He made 66 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles, two sacks, two touchdowns, one forced fumble and one interception. He was named the Eastern Division's nominee for Most Outstanding Newcomer.

The 24-year-old played collegiately at the University of Windsor, where he recorded 160 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, nine sacks, five pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles and one interception with a return touchdown. He was named an OUA All-Star in 2024.

The six-foot-two, 240-pound guard. Earlier this year, he attended the University at Buffalo's pro day, where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds. He also recorded a shuttle of 4.47 seconds, a three-cone drill of 7.19 seconds, 27 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, a vertical jump of 36 inches and a broad jump of 10 feet, four inches.

This was Veresuk's second NFL workout this offseason. he also visited the New Orleans Saints.

The Houston Texans currently sit in third place in the AFC South standings with a 7-5 record.
