The Federal Bureau of Investigation's “Arctic Freeze” investigation potentially targets more than 150 Republican officials and their allies, the House Judiciary Committee said Tuesday.
Newly released documents reveal that the Biden-era Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI investigated Trump allies, in accordance with committee. Some 200 pages of records provide insight into the extensive investigation. The move reportedly began under FBI Director Chris Wray and was then continued by a special prosecutor. Jack Smith under the leadership of Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The committee, led by Ohio Republican Jim Jordan, supposed that “45 people,” including former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon, Pennsylvania Republican Scott Perry, former North Carolina Republican Mark Meadows, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Trump Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark and former Trump lawyer John Eastman, were “potentially under investigation.” (RELATED: Jack Smith and his allies make new moves as Republicans increase pressure)
FBI emails from May 2022 said a Washington field office official thanked several field offices for assistance in the Arctic Frost interview, while another official said “everything” related to the investigation was “limited” in FBI systems. in accordance with documents reviewed by Just the News.
Another email reportedly details how the Arctic Frost team requested approximately $16,600 from the U.S. Department of Justice's Anti-Corruption Section for a June trip to conduct more than 40 interviews, serve subpoenas and execute search warrants on multiple devices. They targeted numerous GOP-affiliated officials in Arizona, Virginia, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and New Mexico, according to the documents.
GOP-led committee stated What “[a]Another 111 people,” including White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino, senior trade and manufacturing adviser Peter Navarro, current DOJ weapons chief Ed Martin and former DOJ official Jeff Rosen, “were also potentially under investigation.”

The documents revealed insider threat tags that the FBI used for this investigation, including “FRAUD CORRUPT,” “CORRUPT,” “PCORRUPT” and “PCORRUPT_CAMP,” Just the News reported. The September 2022 document, titled “Subpoena_Counsel_Matrix,” included the names of dozens of GOP-affiliated activists, government officials, prospective voters and government employees allegedly linked to events surrounding the 2020 election, the outlet reported.

Arctic Frost targeted numerous Republican Party officials and organizations. in accordance with committee press release in September. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino recently said Smith monitored the phone records of several GOP lawmakers, including Sens. Josh Hawley of Missouri and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee.
