Help is coming from all sides for the Declassified Ned graduate Taylor Chase …and now one of his former co-stars is offering him a motel room to keep him off the streets, at least for the night.
Daniel Curtis Leewho co-starred with Tylor on the Nickelodeon series, shared an emotional video with TMZ of him inviting Tylor to a motel in Riverside, California on Tuesday… after he drove about 50 miles from Los Angeles to meet up with his former co-star, who was living on the street.
Daniel tells TMZ … he spent part of the day with Tylor, walking and grabbing pizza before helping him settle into a motel so he could stay dry ahead of a major rainstorm in Southern California this week.
Daniel says he wanted to make sure Tylor had a safe place to stay… adding that he plans to stay in touch and support him as best he can moving forward.
As we reported… The Mighty Ducks star Shawn Weiss also offered help, Taylor's invitation to stay in rehab he works with… but Daniel says Tylor is reluctant to accept help associated with hospitals or treatment centers, even after a lot of support.
Daniel says he sees great potential in Tylor. For now, he said, Taylor feels most comfortable living without a home and hopes his friend can cope.
We told this story… colleague from Ned Declassified Devon Werkheiser told TMZ he is heartbroken seeing Tylor strugglesaying that addiction and mental health issues make it incredibly difficult to help someone who doesn't want it. However, Devon hopes the attention will lead to real support and treatment… and a happy ending for Tylor.
