Dolby introduced its FlexConnect technology a few years agopromising that it will allow customers to place soundbars and speakers anywhere in the room. The company said the platform will then automatically reconfigure the audio, taking into account any locations that may be further away from the central sweet spot. At CES 2026, LG was the first to introduce Dolby Atmos FlexConnect into a soundbar, offering what it calls Sound Suite it also includes satellite speaker options and a subwoofer. You don't need every member of the line to have Dolby technology, so you can choose which items work best for your living room.
The centerpiece of the Sound Suite is the H7 soundbar. This 9.1.6-channel speaker is tuned for spatial audio (Dolby Atmos) and supports lossless audio up to 24-bit/96kHz. For me, the highlight of the specification is the six upward-firing channels, which should improve the feel of higher-pitched sounds. Most soundbars I review only have two of these.
What's more, the H7 comes with Sound Follow, which tracks your phone's location and adjusts the sound as your position changes. Perhaps you'll move to a comfy chair instead of the sofa right in front of the TV. The idea is that you won't have to suffer through poor sound quality during a movie or show just because you're not in the best place.

There are also M5 and M7 speakers. When used with the H7 soundbar, these are satellite speakers, but LG cautioned me against calling them “rear” speakers. While it's true that a couple of them will be located behind most people's couches, the company explained that they output more audio content than traditional rear channels provide. So the two M5 or M7 speakers used to complement the speakers inside one of LG's impressively thin TVs do more work than just emit sounds that are designed to come from behind.
The M5 is a 1.1.1 channel speaker and the M7 is a 2.1.1 channel speaker. Like the H7, both support Dolby Atmos and lossless music. What's more, the entire Sound Suite arsenal has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, including AirPlay 2, Google Cast, as well as Spotify and Tidal Connect. The entire system also uses LG's own AI Sound Pro and Room Calibration Pro, and all settings are configured in the ThinQ app for Android and iOS.
Each speaker can be used independently if needed, and as I mentioned, you can choose which components suit you best – up to four speakers in total. So you can choose the H7, subwoofer and two speakers, or the four speakers of the M5 or M7. You can also purchase a smaller setup with two speakers or just a soundbar and subwoofer. Dolby Atmos FlexConnect still works no matter which combination you choose. It should be noted that the W7's optional subwoofer is quite large, but LG says it can be used either vertically or horizontally.

Of course, none of this means anything if the Sound Suite doesn't actually sound very good. I'm happy to report that LG's collection of speakers sound impressive. I was able to get a glimpse of how they'll perform in quite the showroom at CES. While watching various Dolby Atmos videos, I switched between the M7's four-speaker setup and the more robust M7 soundbar, subwoofer, and speaker setup. While I preferred the overall tone and tuning of the four M7s, I can admit that the larger collection offers a more immersive sound and better directionality of sound. However, they both provided excellent clarity and impeccable detail.
With Sound Follow, you can quickly adjust the sound in Sound Suite based on your phone's location with one tap. Let's say you move from the sofa to a comfortable chair and want to adjust the sound in that particular place. You can do this in the app. While I could notice a slight difference between the location to the side of the room and the central area in front of the TV, the correction did provide an improvement over unadjusted audio.
I was also able to test the standalone mode, in which you can quickly use any Sound Suite speaker individually to listen to music. Sound quality here was also solid, and the system allowed me to add a second M7 speaker for a stereo pair with a few taps in the LG app. Overall, the Sound Suite line offers greater flexibility in terms of features and configurations. In fact, LG claims there are 50 possible combinations between the H7, W7, M5 and M7.
Unfortunately, LG has yet to announce pricing and availability. Given the capabilities of the Sound Suite system, I don't expect the more robust collections to come cheap. However, I think the company will offer a few different packages that will hopefully provide a discount compared to purchasing each component separately.
