Hitman: Absolution is out now for mobile, with this contentious entry making a polished return

  • Hitman: Absolution is out now on iOS and Android
  • Try this controversial but special entry in the series.
  • Agent 47 goes rogue in this great Absolution release for a variety of devices.

Feral Interactive has released many amazing ports of great mobile releases. Be it Total War: Empire or be able to crush Alien isolation down for smartphones. But they may be tackling their biggest challenge: getting people excited about Hitman: Absolution, coming to iOS and Android for $14.99 (or your regional equivalent)!

Jokes aside, Hitman: Absolution is a controversial entry in the popular stealth series. Eschewing his previous spy journey around the world in favor of a more grindhouse atmosphere, Agent 47 goes rogue to protect a young girl with mysterious ties to the Agency. Along the way, he breaks necks, disguises himself, and fights all sorts of despicable opponents.

Abandoning a traditional open world in favor of more action-packed, gunplay-heavy scenes, Absolution wasn't very well received at the time. But since IOI brought Hitman back to its roots, Absolution has undergone something of a reimagining, making the latest Feral port the perfect opportunity to try it out.

Mister Clean is back

Hitman: Absolution is certainly a standout, and Feral Interactive has once again refined it for mobile devices. You'll find fully customizable touch controls, as well as controller and keyboard support with auto-aim and dynamic on-screen guidance.

And don't worry if you think your device won't be able to run it because Feral has equipped Absolution with a lot of graphics tweaks to ensure it runs smoothly on a variety of devices. For those new to the series, Absolution provides a very accessible, more action-oriented jumping point, with an Instinct mode that allows you to select targets while the usual set of disguises allows you to sneak in undetected.

Hitman: Absolution isn't the only controversial launch in recent times. Look what's ours App Army remembered Seoul Exorcist 1111 to see how this strange but fascinating take on the bagel has captivated our readers.
