The Canadiens returned to Brossard for practice this morning.
The club will be playing on the road this week (Salt Lake City, Las Vegas and Denver are on the menu) and it will be important to build on Saturday night to get a strong showing.
What were we looking for in practice?
1. Alexandre Texier took to the ice for the first time with his new Canadiens teammates. He will wear number 85 with the Canadiens.
Here are the first images of the Frenchman in training with the Habs.

2. Joshua Roy was also present. This isn't surprising considering he wasn't traded to the Rocket… but it does mean the Canadiens currently have 14 forwards in town. This is more than usual, even on the eve of the trip.
Will all 14 hit the road? Everyone's 14? relatively healthy?
If everyone can play Mammoth, we're guessing Roy is 14th in the pecking order. But while he's in town, his chances of playing with the Habs… exist. Theoretically.
This morning he and Florian Czekai helped Eric Raymond warm up the goalies.
Despite the acquisition of Alexandre Texier, Joshua Roy is still in the team.

In fact, the plan is to see how Jared Davidson (who isn't 100%) and Alexandre Texier (who just arrived) are doing before making a decision on Roy.
That's why the Quebecer is still with the Canadiens. But what's true after training won't necessarily be true when the guys get on the plane…
Jared Davidson is a full participant in today's practice.
Josh Roy and Florian Czekai are still here.
I think the plan was to see if Davidson was healthy and how Alex Texier was doing after a full training session before making any changes to the squad.
We'll see what comes of this later today.– Eric Engels (@EricEngels) November 24, 2025
3. Adam Engstrom, who was promoted yesterday, also trained for the first time as an official NHL player. Will he play on Wednesday?
And if so, at whose expense?
after a while
– Interesting.

– Remarkable.
Defender Felix Samson, who frequently trained with the first team in 2025, signed his first professional contract with the club: 3 years + 2 option years.
Luca Saputo and the committee chose to sign Samson over Josh Nteziryayo. You have to understand what Samson is. .. https://t.co/AIVH9AxLMX

– To be continued.
This opens the door for the Blue Jays in particular. https://t.co/Z6d7zwRRfu
