Heaven for realHalifax-based adventurous indie rock world-builders Mark and J. Scott Grundy have announced their third full-length studio album, previewed today with the single “Hold Me Back.”
UPDATE (Nov. 7, 10:31 a.m. ET): Heaven for Real has announced an upcoming Canadian tour following the album's release. They will play Hamilton, Toronto and Montreal in December. See the schedule below in bold.
Released November 7th via Mint records, Who died and made you a dream? follows up on last year's EP Hell's Pink Logoas well as the band's second album in 2022. Energy bar. It was recorded using a stash of road instruments with Austin Tufts in Victoria, British Columbia and mixed by a staple of the Vancouver scene. Jay Arner.
According to press materials, Who died consists of three sound sets on 11 tracks. “Hold Me Back” represents the project's lulling yet unruly energy, preoccupied with a cornucopia of fog-shrouded layers. Listen to it below, where you will also find the album tracklist.
