Rozier did not play in Miami's season opener on Wednesday and was arrested the next morning and later placed on leave by the NBA.

Friday's shootaround without Rozier brought reality home for the Heat, who had a game that night against the Memphis Grizzlies.

“You support him in everything. At the end of the day, this is our brother,” Heat captain Bam Adebayo said during the shootaround. via ESPN. “Actually, it felt kind of strange without him because he’s the first person I talk to in the morning. He brings great energy to our team.”

“We support him. Full support.”

“Terry is very dear to all of us,” added head coach Erik Spoelstra. “He has had a real positive impact on our dressing room as well as our staff and players, including last year when he was often left out of the rotation. We send him our thoughts and concerns as he goes through this.”

“You have no choice (but to move on),” Spoelstra added. “The league is not waiting. It doesn't stop for you… You have to learn to compartmentalize and focus on what's most important, which is getting ready for the big game tonight.”

Miami defeated the Grizzlies 146-114.

According to the DOJ indictment, neither Hornets officials nor sportsbooks were informed of Rozier's plan, and Rozier was not listed on the team's injury report.

Deniro Luster then allegedly sold this information to other co-conspirators, and many people placed bets totaling approximately $200,000 on Rozier's “under” bets to win both parlay and straight bets. After Rozier played only nine minutes and did not return, the bets were won. Rozier and Luster tallied the cash winnings at Rozier's home in Charlotte about a week later, the indictment says.
