Heads up, it’s your last chance to get carrier Boxing Week deals

If you're looking to save money on your wireless plan, you might want to act quickly. Canadian carriers have started canceling their deals for Boxing Week, meaning you likely only have a few days to take advantage of the deals before they disappear.

Let's start with a quick overview of the Big Three providers: Bell, Rogers and Telus. None of the Big Three offered significant deals on wireless plans during Boxing Week, with only Rogers offering a 25GB data bonus on some plans. So, nothing has changed on the wireless plans other than the removal of the 25GB bonus.

The Big Three did offer several smartphone “deals”, some of which are still ongoing (like $0/month Galaxy S25 financing on Rogers And Telus), but generally speaking, most of these deals are still not very good when you consider the prices.

The phone itself may be “free,” but customers must return the phone or pay a fee to keep it after the contract ends, and deals are typically tied to expensive plans that cost you $115 a month (about $2,760 over two years). Most people would be better off buying the S25 outright for $1,198.99 and then taking advantage of the Bring Your Own Phone (BYOP) plan. For example, the $50/month BYOP plan and the full S25 version will cost $2,399 for two years, saving you over $300 over the other “deal.” So, I would not recommend anyone to use these offers, no matter how long they last.

Promotions that are still valid (at the moment)

Update January 8, 2026, 9 a.m. ET: Just a day after this story was published, Koodo changed its plans to the following, more expensive options:

  • $45/10GB (previously $45/75GB).
  • $50/40GB (new).
  • $55/60GB (previously $40/60GB in Canada, US, or Mexico).
  • $75/100GB (unchanged).

These plans include a $10 per month discount for using automatic pay through your bank account. Prices are in line with Virgin Plus and Fido offers. Unfortunately, this also means that Kudo's plans are no longer worth pursuing.

The original story continues below, minus the outdated information about Kudo.

Other flanker brands of the Big Three, Bell's Virgin Plus And Fido Rogershave already adjusted the corresponding tariff plans, completing transactions during the Gift Week. Instead they offer plans like 45/10GB, 50/40GB and 55/60GB – not so good.

Meanwhile, Freedom Mobile still has all his great plans for Boxing Weekincluding $39/70GB, $40/100GB, $50/150GB and more plans with 5G and Canada/US/Mexico usage. Most plans include additional roaming services through Freedom's Roam Beyond, making the plans ideal for frequent travelers.

owned by Telus Public Mobile continues to offer similar plans to Freedom with Canada/USA/Mexico options priced at 40/100GB and 50/150GB.

Freedom plans are listed as limited-time Boxing Week offers, but with no clear end date. Public also doesn't have an expiration date, but it's very similar to Freedom's price, so I suspect that once Freedom completes its deals, Public will change its plans as well.
