ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Two teams will make their debuts in the University Interscholastic League championship game.

On Wednesday night, either Hamilton or Joaquin will claim the state title for the first time in history. The Hamilton Bulldogs will take on the Rams of Joaquin in the UIL 2A Division I championship at AT&T Stadium.

Hamilton goes 13-2 overall. The Bulldogs enter Wednesday's title game riding a 10-game winning streak.
They began the postseason with a 42–20 win over Tioga in the bi-district round. They have scored 29 points or fewer in their next four games but continue to find ways to win, including last week's 28-12 semifinal win over Stinnett West Texas.

Joaquin also makes his first trip to Jerry's World. The Rams finished the regular season 6–4 but improved in the playoffs.
Joaquin scored at least 35 points in all five playoff wins, including 74 in the regional semifinals against Elysian Fields. The Rams beat Refugio 37-28 in the semifinal round last week.
