Sometimes you have to play with a small amount of chip on your shoulder.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats certainly looked as if they had something to prove when they shot Toronto Argonauts 47-29 to improve up to 10-6 in the season.
Here are my thoughts about the victory of the rebound.
Installation of tone
Philip Ossi and the line of defense set the tone in the first play from the fight. With the closure of his pocket, Ossi received a huge blow to deprive the defender of Argos Nika Arbakl, who, unfortunately, had to leave the game with the injury.
Since then, it was an open season on the reserve defender Jarrett Douge. Hamilton gained absurd nine bags, of course, their most productive game of the year. Even when they did not reach Doege into their own hands, the pressure gave him fit. Julian Hausre brought four bags, Ossai finished the night with three, and Casey Sales and Jose Ramirez added one at a time.
Minus lull in the third quarter, d-line forced Toronto in his entire life all night.
Wide open spaces
It was a terrible day to be protection from Argonauts in Toronto. If you blinked, you missed Bo Levy Mitchell, hitting another wide open receiver below.
Mitchell threw 320 yards and four landings. Brendan O'liri Orange led all receivers with 111 yards and two landings only at two receptions, Kiondr Smith almost pulled out a mark of the century with 98 yards at six doses, and Kenny Lawler used his three catchs when he discovered the final zone twice and finished a competition with 63 yards.
It doesn't matter who it was today. The reception building was prepared by argonauts.
Select the parade
The creation of revolutions was the visiting card of Tikats in defense throughout the year, and the secondary did not allow the defense line to steal the show.
Hamilton intercepted Doege in four separate cases, and it would have been five, if not for illegal contact, would cause half of the football field away from the play.
Three of four interceptions belonged to Stavros Katsantonis, who recently was one of the best defenders of Tikat. Katsantonis was all over the field, delivering eight tackle on the top of its conclusions.
Bonus signs to protect for this without Jamal Peters, who was forced to leave the game with an injury in the first quarter. Great game of a rebound for protection, just a week after Winnipeg scored on them at will.
The threat is contained
Even the PUNT lighting team received a message after embarrassment in Winnipeg. The Hamilton's Special Teams subdivision held the Janarion grant up to 10.5 yards for returning and does not allow him to break any large ones.
Despite the dominant first half of Tabbies, it was a game with 10 points at one moment. The punt taken into the house could change the complexion of the game.
Hamilton did his work in special teams and closed one of Argos's best chances to start returning.
Sleeping tigers
Tiger cows were magnificent for 53 minutes of football. Statistics, of course, tells the story of the explosion, but in fact it was about five minutes, when it seemed that Argos was about to erase the leadership in a break of 32-3.
The way out of half the apartment has become a habit for Ticats for three weeks. Hamilton was in closer games than they were supposed to be in the fact that they were in the third quarter against Toronto.
This is normal if the crime does not score each disk, just like in order, if the defense does not receive each series with two and once. When both units go to bed at the same time, it is then that you begin to enter the territory of the return.
Only two distributions of Hamilton occurred during this segment, and Toronto turned three points by 19 in less than half a quarter. Most likely, this will remain mainly unnoticed, because the cats turned the heat back and closed the competition 47-29.
Each team in the Play -OFF picture may really return to win when several results won in the second half. Hamilton cannot afford to fall asleep for half a quarter.
There is no return today
As if someone told Hamilton that in the fourth quarter there was still a quarter, everything returned to the product.
Mitchell found Lawler for the lighting for his second landing of the night at the beginning of the fourth quarter, and Mark Liggio added two field goals to help the Tikatam stop the turn in his tracks.
It is difficult to play as if it is 0-0, when it encounters a large one, but the best teams find a way to do this. The full position of Hamilton for turning it on when they need.
The work is not finished
Mathematics is simple: Tiger-Cats-one victory from one victory from the place in the gray cup.
Do not be mistaken, the way they play in the post-zone, a measuring wand for success for Tiger-Cats 2025. When Hamilton brought Bo Levy Mitchell, they were removed from two losses of gray cups in a row. Two viable starting defender in Jeremiah Masoli and Dean Evan were thrown on the sidelines, because they could not do it when it was important.
They went for Mitchell because he is a proven Club winner. There were outbreaks of what a crime in the first two seasons could be, but both teams ultimately could not overcome bad starts.
This season was one of the best in the last quarter century from a statistical point of view. Unfortunately, for a fan base that has not seen the championship in 26 years, none of this will matter if Hamilton returns home to the eastern semifinals.
When the playing is the 2025 play, it will be the definition of any Sunday Sunday – or, rather, any Saturday. Almost every team in the play of the play -off can win a gray goblet. You can not succeed, how important the victory in the east is and to get a goodbye. Hamilton has three chances to achieve his goal.
