Hacker deletes ‘Tinder for Nazis’ and leaks thousands of profiles online | News World

Hacked WhiteDate data may contain hundreds of thousands more profiles

The profiles of thousands of people who joined a white supremacist dating site have been leaked online after being hacked.

An anonymous hacker hacked WhiteDate and deleted it, but not before downloading the 100 gigabytes of data behind it.

On the air, dressed in Power Ranger pink, a German internet activist calling herself “Martha Ruth” said the site's security was so lax it would “make even your grandmother's AOL account blush.”

She has since extracted 8,000 profiles and posted them online, although the total number of profiles in the leaked data is believed to be much higher.

Information included includes location, username, age and personal biography, as well as photographs in some cases, although email addresses and personal messages have not yet been published.

Most profiles are based on USabout 400 in the UK, with similar figures in France, Germany and other countries spread throughout Europe.

Most of the profiles were in the US, but there were also a few in the UK and some European countries. This shows where some profiles have been geotagged.

It is unclear whether the hacker used data from different countries proportionally or whether some of it is overrepresented due to the way the data was mined.

One profile belongs to a 27-year-old from Barnard Castle. County Durhamnamed Kiran, emphasizes his desire to find “a woman who understands the threat to our race.”

Kieran said his desire was not driven by a desire for romance, but by “observing our cities.” [sic] will become havens of degeneration and foreign cultures.”

31 year old man Wolverhampton a local resident calling himself Mr. Stone wrote: “I want to join this site because I'm tired of going to other Christian sites and have no way to point out that you don't care about black people or other kinds of people, if you can call them that.”

A hacker calling herself Martha Ruth livestreamed the deletion of the site.

Most of the site's members were men, and Ruth said that floor ratio 'makes the Smurf village look like feminist Utopia'.

55-year-old London resident K.K. said she likes to “collect organic seeds” and wants a “Mr. Right” who knows that politicians are “controlled by the same people.”

Despite joining a site dedicated to “preserving the white race”, 30-year-old Swansea resident Minty95 said she has “no desire to have offspring”.

The full data set, including profile photos, many of which contain metadata showing where they were taken, was provided to verified journalists and researchers.

Ruth says she has identified the company behind it as a Parisian firm.

These claims could not be immediately verified, although the site registered the trademark “White Deal, Hire European Staff” in 2019.
