Want some good news?
The Montreal Canadiens will play the Winnipeg Jets in an away match. The game will take place on October 25, 2026… and will be held in Winnipeg.
We've been waiting a long time to see the Canadiens play outdoors again. And Hubs fans are in for a treat!

October 25 is still the beginning of the season. There may not be snow early in the season, but temperatures may not be an issue.
After all… we have to remember the game between the Ducks and Kings, which was presented at the home arena of the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2014. Or remember when the Stars hosted the Preds on the road in Texas for the Winter Classic.
It was 20 degrees (Celsius) that day. I'm inclined to think that in October in Winnipeg it won't be even a thousand and one degrees outside…
Once again, this is good news for Canadiens fans. Seeing your club play away is always special.
And seeing the Habs play on the road is even more special.
Tickets for the event are not yet on sale, but those interested in purchasing them can already fill up. short form on the National League website for more details.
I can't wait to see how packed Blue Bombers Stadium will be during the game. But a little bird tells me that the stadium will be packed… and that there won't be many empty seats in the stadium among the 32,343.
Two Canadian teams play outside…
What a great idea!
Extra time
I don't know who the Canadiens' starting goalie will be that night… but I'd like to see him wear the headgear.
Because that moment with José Theodore really stuck with me:
