Guardians Planetfall Officially Announced for Meta Quest 3 and Steam VR

Join the galactic war in Guardians Planetfall

VirtualAge, the studio known for Guardians Frontline, Gladius and Ember Souls, has officially announced its upcoming game Guardians Planetfall. Revealed during the UploadVR Showcase, the game offers extensive co-op play on Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S and Steam VR, and is scheduled for an Early Access release in 2026. It expands on the studio's approach to fast-paced, coordinated combat by placing players directly into a vast interstellar conflict.

The game takes place during a merciless war that threatens the survival of humanity. Players form squads of up to four soldiers and take part in missions that require quick decisions and careful teamwork. Battles take place in a variety of environments, including unstable alien planets, orbital combat zones, and fortified space installations. Each location is filled with aggressive enemies, trained soldiers and tall machines designed for large-scale wars. The VR format allows players to be present in every moment, turning every encounter into a test of movement, precision and awareness.

Between missions, squads regroup on the command deck of a customizable strike ship. This mobile base serves as the planning point for each operation. Teams study the shifting fronts in the star system and choose the next region to deploy to. Desert regions, dense jungles, frozen distant sites and volcanic fortresses are just some of the locations shaped by the wider war. Each successful extraction changes the balance of influence in each contested world. As the squads carry out more missions, their actions determine the direction of the conflict and determine whether humanity gains a foothold or loses another foothold.

Guardians Planetfall aims to create a sense of continuous struggle, with each mission contributing to even greater efforts, giving players the opportunity to take part in a galaxy-spanning conflict.
