The Bulldogs could add another title to their already bloated trophy cabinet, and one of the state's greatest defensive players could end a distinguished career when Greenwood faces Shiloh Christian for the Arkansas Activities Association Class 6A title. It will happen Saturday night at Little Rock War Memorial Stadium.

Greenwood is looking to win his third title in a row and 13th since winning his first crown in 2000. The Bulldogs won three in a row two more times during that period, changing the gimmick in 2005-07 and again in 2010-12.

The Bulldogs (12-0) will bring a potent offense to Saturday's championship game led by senior guard Kane Archer, who recently signed with the University of Utah.
Archer, who has played for the Bulldogs since his freshman season, has led them to titles each of the last two years and is also the first quarterback in state history to pass for 10,000-plus yards and rush for at least 2,500 yards, as well as the first to pass for at least 100 touchdowns and throw for at least 50 touchdowns. He is also 38-0 in his career as a starting quarterback.
The Bulldogs face their 6A-West Conference rival for the title for the second straight season. Shiloh Christian (10-2) lost to Greenwood (35-24) on Sept. 26. The Saints' other loss came against Oklahoma's Lincoln Christian, which plays for the Class 3A championship next week.

The Saints will try to win their first state title since 2020 on Saturday. They have won eight championships since 1998.
