Google warns criminals are building and selling illicit AI tools – and the market is growing

  • AI tools are being built specifically for criminals, says new GTIG report
  • These tools bypass artificial intelligence fences designed to ensure security.
  • Just-in-time AI malware shows how criminals are improving their techniques

GoogleThreat Analysis Team determined An alarming shift in AI trends: AI is no longer just being used to make criminals more productive, but is being specifically designed for active operations.

His research revealed large language patterns (L.L.M.) are used in malware, particularly with just-in-time artificial intelligence such as PROMPTFLUX, which is written in VBScript and interfaces with the Gemini API to request “specific VBScript obfuscation and evasion techniques to facilitate just-in-time self-modification, likely avoiding static signature-based detection.”
