Despite another disastrous season and a coaching shake-up, the team New York Giants stick with general manager Joe Schon.
The vote of confidence from owners John Mara and Steve Tisch came Monday morning after a season of speculation that had many believing the organization would go in a different direction after Brian Daboll's sacking mid-season.

“The 2025 season has been deeply disappointing and the results on the field have not met the standards this organization and our fans expect,” Mara and Tisch said in a statement.

“As previously stated, Joe Schon will remain our general manager and will continue to lead our football operations and the search for our next head coach. Continuity and stability in the front office is important to our progress.”
Sean and Daboll were hired in 2022, but Daboll was fired last month, marking the Giants' third straight losing season. Likewise, Sean was expected to be in the spotlight at the end of the regular season after several notable missteps during his tenure.
Permission to run back Saquon Barkley going and signing with division rival Philadelphia, where he won a Super Bowl in his first season and won the Offensive Player of the Year award, remains one of the biggest criticisms of Shawn.

“We believe in our young, talented team that we can build for future success,” Mara and Tisch said Monday.
Under Sean's leadership, the Giants are 22-45-1 and have made the playoffs once.
