Ghost Vanguard Got Fully Funded on Kickstarter Campaign

Huge milestone for Ghost Vanguard

Wombo Combo Games, a two-person indie studio based in Fukuoka, Japan, has successfully reached its $20,000 goal. Kickstarter goal is to complete development Phantom VanguardA roguelike beat 'em up filled with dark fantasy and fast-paced combat. Since the campaign has exceeded its initial goal, the team will use additional funds to expand the game's content and features.

Expanded objectives will add new boss encounters and reveal the true masterminds of the nightmare dungeons. It will also introduce a turbo mode that adjusts the speed of combat, bring console ports to the PlayStation, and introduce a new playable character inspired by the Thief archetype. The developers plan to announce larger goals as backers continue to support the project.

The team is also offering backers creative ways to form a Ghost Vanguard. Backers can create their own NPCs or mini-bosses, create spells, relics and statues, or leave personalized messages throughout the game world, creating an interactive experience reminiscent of the Bloodborne environment.

Players can try out Ghost Vanguard now with a demo on Steam. The demo provides two to three hours of gameplay with two unique bosses. Players wield a one-handed sword with three different fighting styles, experiment with ten upgradeable spells and a variety of relics, and develop special playstyles such as Ice Mage or Aerial Combos. In the Hub, they will also be able to unlock advanced moves, including the parry, air dash and double jump, allowing them to improve their skills and experience the depth of the game as it approaches the full release.
