Rotten Tomatoes rating: 97%
A remake of the British series of the same name. Ghosts follows in the footsteps Office like an American remake of a British sitcom that not only stands shoulder to shoulder with the original, but surpasses it in many ways.
The series follows New Yorkers Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), who inherit the sprawling country home of Woodstone Manor from Sam's distant relative. After moving to the village, their dreams of running an idyllic bed and breakfast are dashed when an accident gives Sam the ability to see and communicate with many of Woodstone's ghostly denizens.
The show's ensemble cast of deceased residents includes Thor (Devan Chandler Long), a Viking explorer abandoned by his shipmates, Issac (Brandon Scott Jones), a Revolutionary War officer, Hetty (Rebecca Wisocki), a former mistress of the manor and Sam's distant ancestor, Sass (Roman Zaragoza), a local hunter, Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), a Prohibition-era lounge singer, Flower (Shelia) Carrasco), a 1960s hippie, Pete (Richie Moriarty), a scout leader killed in a bow-and-arrow accident, and Trevor (Asher Grodman), a '90s Wall Street bro doomed to spend eternity half-naked.
It's quite a diverse cast of characters and, like the UK version, Ghosts often makes for interesting pairings episode after episode, getting to the heart of those forced to spend the afterlife confronting and coming to terms with the things they wish they had done (and didn't). That being said, the series is also one of the funniest sitcoms out there, with the entire cast making a name for themselves in their episodes. If you're looking for easy, comfortable TV while on holiday, you can't do better than Ghosts.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Rotten Tomatoes rating: 94%
Best Paramount+ Release Star Trek era, Strange New Worlds both pay homage to the mind-bending space adventures of the original series while keeping the show modern.
Spin-off from Opening and a prequel of sorts Terms of Service, Strange New Worlds follows the USS Enterprise in the years before James T. Kirk took charge, with Anson Mount's Christopher Pike in the captain's chair. The series also stars Ethan Peck as Spock, depicting his early days aboard the ship in the era before Leonard Nimoy's iconic turn.
Where are some of the modern era Star Trek was criticized for straying too far from what fans enjoyed during the franchise's glory days, Strange New Worlds keeps it simple, taking a classic episodic approach to Starfleet's mission – boldly going where no one has gone before. So the show is the most fun. Star Trek Since William Shatner took over the show, all the bold and colorful adventures of the 1960s have been revived for modern audiences.
While the series is full of all the fan service you'd expect from creator Alex Kurtzman, it's still easily accessible to newcomers. But if you really want to start from the beginning, everything Track you can point a phaser right at you on Paramount+.

A cross-generational blend of survival horror. Lost with 90s nostalgia and a healthy dose of cannibalism? Sign me up.
In 2021, he'll take the stage with one of the most intriguing cold opens in television history. Yellow Jackets spent three seasons creating an exciting, crazy mythology, full of mysterious mysteries and answers to some questions. Split into two timelines, the first follows the surviving members of a girls' high school soccer team after a plane crashes in the Canadian desert in 1996. The second follows some of the group members 25 years later, as their teenage experiences still have significant implications for their adult lives.
The modern timeline is supported by a stellar cast of leading Yellowjackets adults, including Melanie Lynskey as Shauna, Christina Ricci as Misty, Juliette Lewis as Nat and Toni Cypress as Ty, and there are also excellent supporting characters such as Elijah Wood and Warren Cole. Set in the wild '90s, rising stars such as Jasmine Savoy Brown (Ty), Sophie Thatcher (Nat) and Ella Purnell perfectly capture the growing madness.
Yellow Jackets This is the type of show that it's best to know as little as possible about, but the series does a great job of exploring themes of trauma and disguise as each instance of the past returning brings the women closer to uncovering their buried secrets. As the '90s timeline gradually reveals the truth about the teenager's time in the wilderness, it becomes clear just how dangerous these secrets are. No, for the faint of heart, Yellow Jackets it's a mystery box of a show that, if you're brave enough to do it, will keep you binging late into the night.
