Fujifilm updates its X-T30 with 6K video and a film simulation dial

Fujifilm has announced the third iteration entry-level cameras with interchangeable lenses X-T30. the original debuted in 2019and the X-T30 II launched in 2021 with minimal updates. new Fujifilm X-T30 III It's also not a complete rethink of the camera, retaining the previous model's 26.1-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 image sensor. The mode dial on the previous model has been replaced with a Film Simulation dial on the X-T30 III, similar to what Fujifilm now includes on the X-T30 III. shooters like last year's X-T50. The dial gives you quick access to 20 different film-like shooting modes, including black and white options for when you're feeling extra artistic. The dial also has three positions for a custom look, which you can create by adjusting parameters such as film grain, hue, highlights and saturation.

The X-T30 III is primarily a camera designed for stills, with shooting speeds still topping out at 20fps when using the electronic shutter, but the faster processor has allowed Fujifilm to realize improved video capabilities. It can now shoot 10-bit 6.2K video at 30fps, with frame rates rising to 60fps at 4K and 240fps at 1080P for slow motion.

There's still no built-in stabilization in the X-T30 line—you'll have to upgrade to the $1,399 X-T50 for that. But the X-T30 III offers faster autofocus, the ability to prioritize a subject's face and eyes, and AI-powered subject recognition and tracking, including animals, birds, cars, trains, insects, planes and drones.

Other improvements include improved battery life: up to 425 shots can be taken in Eco mode, which reduces the effectiveness of autofocus and the camera's tilting LCD display. The pop-up flash from previous models has also been carried over, and if you need more than just lAlso film, the X-T30 III can connect directly to Fujifilm Instax Link printers and crop images to fit the company's square and wide format instant film.

The X-T30 III is expected to ship in November 2025, but is currently available for pre-order starting at $999.95 (excluding lens). retailers such as B&H Available in three color options: all-black, black-silver and black-charcoal-silver. That makes it about $100 more expensive than the X-T30 II, which launched at $900 a few years ago. The X-T30 III will also be available as part of a kit including the new Fujifilm XC 13-33mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS lens for US$1,149.95 in mid-December 2025.
