Four killed in latest US strike on alleged drug vessel near Venezuela

According to the Minister of Defense, Pete Hegset, American troops killed four people as a result of an attack on a boat off the coast of Venezuela, which was supposedly drug trafficking.

“The strike was carried out in international waters near the coast of Venezuela, while the ship transported a significant number of drugs – it went to America to poison our people,” hegset wrote in a post on X.

This is the last in a number of recent deadly blows that the United States has made boats in international waters, which, according to, participate in the “neutralization of the People's Commissars.”

The blow attracted condemnation in countries such as Venezuela and Colombia, while some international lawyers describe blows as a violation of international law.

Hegset said that the attack occurred in the field of responsibility of the US southern command, which covers most of South America and the Caribbean.

“Our intelligence, without a doubt, confirmed that this ship organized drugs, there were narcotic terrorists aboard, and they worked on a well-known transit route conducting drugs,” Hegset said about Friday attack.

“These blows will continue until the attack on the American people ends !!!!”

US President Trump also confirmed the strike on his social platform of truth, saying that the boat carried enough drugs “to kill from 25 to 50 thousand people.”

Nevertheless, the United States did not provide evidence of its claims or some kind of information about the individuals of those who are on board.

There was no immediate response from Venezuela, but its president, Nicholas Maduro, previously condemned the blows and said that his country would protect itself from “aggression”.

Friday fatal attack is the fourth USA in a month.

Trump said 11 people were killed as a result of a blow Against the ship carrying drugs in the South Caribbean in early September.

Later, within a month, two separate strikes were reconciled by a total of six people.

On Thursday, the leaked memorandum sent to Congress said American media, said the US government has now decided that it was in a “non -international armed conflict” with drug cartels.

This is important because the administration requires the law to report to Congress if it will use the armed forces, which suggests that it plans to use further military operations.

The United States positioned its blows on the alleged narcotic boats as self -defense, despite the fact that many lawyers question their legality.

The creation of this as an active armed conflict is probably for Trump to justify the use of more extreme wartime forces – for example, the murder of “enemy fighters”, even if they do not pose a violent threat or detained people for an indefinite period. These are similar forces for those who apply to al-Qaeda after September 11.

Trump did not give an argument why he, according to, classifies drug trafficking and the crimes associated with them as an “armed attack”, or called which cartels he considers attacking the United States.

He has already designed a lot of cartels, including Mexico, Ecuador and Venezuela, as terrorist organizations – providing the American authorities with more authorities in their answer to them.
