You know what I think about South Park? It feels like you randomly wake up in the middle of the night, look around your bedroom and think, “Holy crap, isn’t it morning yet?” The feeling of waiting for the inevitable, the end or the beginning. Not so much the content of the show, all this does not require much thought, especially its very existence, which is now apparently being transplanted into Fortnite.
This latest collaboration, like collaborations with The Simpsons, Family Guy, etc., came with a trailer that began with an animation set in the world of the show. Stan, Kyle, Eric and Kenny play Fortnite together, Butters, as always, is left on the sidelines as the worst prepubescent boys talk all sorts of gamer nonsense. Butter's exile forces him to find the stick of truth – yes, like the one from the game South Park. Stick of Truthadmittedly quite nice – turning them all into Fortnite itself.
This is standard in Forted Nite these days because all the skins you can get, including all four main boys and Butters, are real kids, so they have makeshift robotic bodies to prance around in. Plus, there's a whole new part of the map to explore, Cartmanland, a theme park that hides the aforementioned stick of truth that can…something, you'll figure it out as you play.
There's also a new 5-person Quints playlist, handy for those of you who have Butters in your life (if you're the kind of person who has Butters in your life, be kind to them). This will all be released later this week, on Friday, January 9th, and will run until February 5th. Happy South Parking!
