latest version of fortnite Winter Festival Celebration started with the usual set of map and gameplay changes in Battle Royale and Lots of free stuff in the Winterfest hut. But that's not all there is to worry about in the latest Fortnite update – we also have a couple of new sets of quests that reward XP, and additional free cosmetics to earn by completing certain of these new quests. Let's see what we have here.
Not all Winter Festival quests are currently available. As of December 20, only the first two sets of quests are available.
Winter Festival 2025 quests
The first of these new sets of quests, listed in the Winter Festival section of your quest log, is for Battle Royale. There are four groups of time-limited quests in this set of quests: the first group is available now, the rest will be added periodically. You get 12k experience each for completing the quest, and there may be a reward at the end of the quest chain, but we don't know for sure yet. These quests will expire when the Winter Festival ends on January 5th.
Drop 1 – Gift to the Stars
Collect the perfect gift from the chest.
Each chest you open during the Winter Festival has the option to drop an item called the “Perfect Gift”, which triggers a quest to deliver it to any non-hostile NPC on the map within five minutes. But for this quest you just need to collect the item. Luckily, the Perfect Gift doesn't require any of your inventory slots.
Make the perfect gift for any character
For this quest you need to deliver one of these perfect gifts to an NPC. They all work, so choose the one that is most convenient. To see which NPC is closest to you, open the map menu and switch to the Characters tab, which will show you where each NPC lives.
Damage the Christmas Soldier or any other boss (500 points)
To do this, you will need to deal 500 damage to any NPC boss – and we mean NPCs specifically. Players who used a boss token to disguise themselves as the boss are not counted.
Fall 2 – Passion for Gifts
Bring the Headman's Gift to the Bride, Carter Wu or Kingston
This is the same process as the previous series of quests, but you will need to deliver them to one of these specific NPCs. The Bride lives on the Sandy Strip, Carter Wu is a mercenary NPC in Latte Landing, and Kingston relaxes near the beach in Bumpy Bay.
Walk 60 distance with icy feet
Icy Feet is a mobility item that allows you to slide and slide where you need to go very quickly, and they are a lot more convenient than you think since you can activate and deactivate them at will. The distance required is not very long, so it won't take much time.
Search 5 chests in Clawsy Lodge or Tiptop Terrace.
These locations are located on both sides of Wonkyland, and you will need to open chests specifically – ammo boxes and vegetable boxes are not suitable for this.
Squad up! quests
In addition to the main Winter Festival quests, there is an additional set of very simple quests that simply require you to find shiny llamas in the squad version of Battle Royale, Reload, OG, or Blitz. These shiny llamas have a random chance to drop every time you open a rare chest or drop supplies, or when you defeat an enemy player or NPC. You will receive 12,000 XP for every 100 items you collect until you collect 1000 of them. However, you won't have to compete with your teammates for them, because any Shiny Llamas collected by any squad member count towards all four of you.
And that's a good thing, because these quests also have cosmetic rewards. Collecting 400 of these shiny llamas will reward you with Starbrite Slasher Pickaxewhich has been gathering dust in the Fortnite game files for almost two years. You'll want to pay special attention to this quest if you purchased the Lego Starter Pack that includes the Agent Bright skin, as this is the first time you've been able to get the pickaxe that belongs to her set.
