Pauline Potter — who starred in the third season of “My 600 Pound Life” — has died.
Polina's son Dillon confirmed the death of his mother during the move YouTube videosaying she died on Thanksgiving Day.
Her death came just months after she and Dillon were involved in a car accident that resulted in the loss of their vehicle. According to Dillon, the incident happened in January and left his mom with broken ribs and other injuries…she was still suffering from those injuries in her final moments.
Dillon recalled the accident… “We were driving down a dark two-lane highway and a semi-truck pulled up in the middle of the road. We didn’t see it because they didn’t have the lights on.”
He continued… “The guy claimed he was out of gas, but for some reason his light still didn't come on. We crashed into a trailer. Because he didn't have the lights on, we didn't notice until it was too late and we were right there.”
According to Dillon, in the months following the accident, Pauline's ailments worsened. He said she was having digestive problems and doctors discovered a “blockage in her esophagus” that was causing food to come back up. After her diagnosis, Polina was hospitalized due to a blockage and COVID-19, but none of the tests, procedures or treatments were successful because “there was always something wrong.”
Dillon said Pauline was sent home for hospice care in November.
After the death of Pauline, Dillon organized GoFundMe to raise money for her cremation.
She was 62.
