Ford government The controversial Omnibus Hire Bill was passed amid loud protests in the public gallery and violent opposition inside the house.
Bill 60 passed its third reading at Queen's Park on Monday morning, the final stage before it receives royal assent and becomes law.
The omnibus legislation includes changes to the compensation landlords must pay to force tenants to leave their homes if they want to move, and shortens some eviction deadlines.

However, it's the changes in the rental market that have attracted the most attention.
As the bill passed its third reading, protesters in the public gallery began shouting at the government below. One by one, parliamentary guards removed them.
The protest, which followed a large gathering outside Queen's Park over the weekend, comes after the government decided to fast-track the bill into committee by cutting off the traditional feedback channel.
