Foolish Mortals Will Arrive on PC Next Month

Uncover the truth in “Foolish Mortals”

After four years of development, husband and wife team David and Sophie Younger of Inklingwood Studios are releasing Foolish Mortals on November 5, 2025. This hand-drawn, fully voice-acted point-and-click adventure takes inspiration from classic games like Monkey Island and The Broken Sword, immersing players in the mysterious world of 1930s Louisiana.

Players take on the role of treasure hunter Murphy McCallan, voiced by AJ LoCascio, known for his roles in Back to the Future: The Game and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The story revolves around a 1933 mystery: a wedding party at Devil's Rock disappeared decades ago, becoming the secret location of the lost treasure of the Bellemore estate. To find it, players explore detailed environments, solve puzzles, and interact with colorful characters.

Foolish Mortals is cozy rather than scary, with no deaths or dead ends. The game features over 100 items, a built-in hint system, over 75 hand-drawn HD locations, and over two hours of original music, including an interactive big band song. Over 35 characters are fully voiced under the direction of Francisco Gonzalez. The game also includes a full German translation by Point and Click veteran Marcel Weyers.

Fans of classic adventure games will love the nostalgic physical Big Box Edition, filled with 15 collectibles reminiscent of the 1990s. Combining challenging puzzles, a rich story, and a lovingly crafted world, Foolish Mortals promises to offer an unforgettable adventure for longtime fans and newcomers alike when it releases on Steam next month.
