FIFA took its name from the established Super League Soccer title on Roblox.
In a post on LinkedInThe football body said that the game will now be called FIFA Super Soccer, created by developer Gamefam.
The company says Super League Soccer attracted an average of 9.5 million monthly active users and 1.5 million daily gaming sessions. This is in addition to users spending an average of 11 minutes per gaming session.
The deal follows an initial partnership in the summer that saw FIFA take over the management of Super League Soccer for a limited-time event in June and July during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. According to GameFam, the event was hailed as the “largest official football event in Roblox history” with 20 million play sessions and 5.5 million hours of interaction.
The new partnership “allows players to compete against official national teams and popular clubs, participate in events associated with the world's top leagues, celebrate the journey to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and unlock exclusive FIFA and World Cup gear to equip their avatars,” the company said in a press release. It also promises “selected opportunities for FIFA partners such as Adidas and other brands”, starting with a four-week Adidas Football Festival that will feature the company's 14 football clubs.
“Roblox has shown us how powerful it can be to connect fans and expand football culture,” said FIFA Director of Games and Esports Christian Wolk.
“Working with Gamefam allows us to build a real football space on the platform.
“This collaboration supports our broader approach to the games, helps us create new and authentic fan experiences and opens up more opportunities for partner engagement in the lead-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.”
This news came hot on the heels of FIFA signs agreement with streaming giant Netflixwhich is planned to be launched on the platform for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“FIFA is very pleased to team up with Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said of the deal.
