The 2026 FIFA World Cup is getting closer. with drawing in the rearview mirror, the official schedule has now been approved by FIFA. FIFA President Gianni Infantino, joined by former football stars such as Ronaldo Nazario, Francesco Totti and Hristo Stoichkov, announced the 104-match schedule to be played in the US, Canada and Mexico next summer, including venues and kick-off times for the 48 teams participating in the tournament. However, the final version of the fixture schedule will not be available until March, when the FIFA and European playoff tournaments take place and the final six places are filled. The USMNT's path to the World Cup
The United States will face Australia, a team they beat 2-1 in an October friendly, and Paraguay, a team they beat 2-1 in a November match, and the final team Mauricio Pochettino will play won't be known until later in March as they exit the playoffs between Romania, Slovakia, Kosovo and Turikje, a team that The USMNT lost 2-1 in June.
