FBI says 2 Massachusetts men have been arrested in connection with Harvard Medical School explosion – Winnipeg Free Press

BOSTON (AP) — Two Massachusetts men have been arrested in connection with the weekend bombing at Harvard Medical School, authorities said Tuesday.

The Boston FBI office announced the arrests on social media ahead of a news conference at 1 p.m. He did not provide further details.

The explosion occurred early Saturday morning on the fourth floor of the Goldenson Building at Harvard Medical School. No one was hurt. The building houses laboratories and offices for the medical school's neurobiology department.

Medical school officials said the explosion did not cause any structural damage and that all laboratories and equipment remained intact. The Boston Fire Department determined that the explosion was intentional. Police said officers did not find any additional devices during a search of the building.

According to university police, an officer responding to a fire alarm that morning encountered two people running from the Goldenson Building.
