Additional information about week 18: Mike Clay's Guide | Week 18 | Week 18 ratings

What are we waiting for at the beginning?

  • Kyle Pitts Sr.., TE, ATL (knee): Although his practice has been limited all week, all signs point to Pitts finishing the season on the field. If the Falcons win, Carolina will make the playoffs. If not, Tampa Bay moves on.

  • Drake LondonWR, ATL (knee): London is expected to play, as is also doubtful Darnell Mooney (knee). David Sills V will see extra looks if any other receiver fails.

  • Dontayvion WeeksWR, GB (concussion): The Packers were already planning to rest several starters, so Weeks is unlikely to be a fit. Clayton Thune will start at quarterback for Jordan Love. RB Josh Jacobs nor is he expected to play much, if at all.

  • Nico CollinsWR, HOU (command decision): Looks like this is another case teams heading to the postseason rest their starting lineup. Collins is expected to be announced. inactive early Sunday morning, Xavier Hutchinson And Jaylin Noel get some fantastic value.

  • Philip RiversQB, IND (heading into the sunset… again): With the Colts eliminated from playoff contention, Riley Leonard will start in week 18. However, it wouldn't be a shock if Rivers took some snaps as a sort of ceremonial send-off.

Excluded until Sunday

What are we watching late

  • Dalton KincaidTHE, BUF (I know): There's no reason for Kincaid to take any chances in Week 18, and besides, Dawson Knox (knee) has been removed from the final injury report and will play.

  • Rome OdunzeWR, CHI (foot): It's probably best for the Bears to make sure Odunze is healthy for the playoffs. Luther Burden III (quad) was not listed on the final injury report and will play.

  • Amon-Ra St. BrownWR, DET (knee): St. Brown tends to dress on Sunday, but with nothing to play for, it's not unreasonable to think he could pack up early.

  • Isaiah PachecoRB, KS (risk aversion): If he sits down, which is quite likely, Kareem Hunt And Brashard Smith would share the responsibilities of the Republic of Belarus.

  • Xavier WorthyWR, KC (illness): Downgraded to questionable late in the week in a meaningless game for Kansas City? Look elsewhere for your WR needs.

  • Kimani VidalRB, LAK (neck): Hasan Haskins (concussion) is also in question. Someone will have to be in the huddle, but it may not matter who it ends up being.

  • Blake ChoirRB, LAR (ankle): Kyren Williams (Ankle) has been training more than Corum this week so he could get more touches. It is also possible that the team will turn to Ronnie Rivers and/or Harkes Hunter to give their best RB duo some rest.

  • Tyler HigbeeTE, LAR (ankle): Terrence Ferguson (hamstring) is questionable. Colby Parkinson is in line to start, although Higbee was activated from IR and could see some action in Week 18.

  • Davante AdamsWR, LAR (hamstring): The Rams could potentially give Adams some playing time to see how close he is to 100% completion, or they could just keep him for the postseason.

  • De'Von AchaneRB, MIA (shoulder): Expect Jaylen Wright process transmissions from Quinn Evers.

  • Jaylen WaddleWR, MIA (ribs): It will likely be a game-time call, but don't count on Waddle to make the play. And also, TE Darren Waller (groin) was placed on IR. Greg Dulcic could see some additional targets.
