Additional information about week 18: Mike Clay's Guide | Week 18 | Week 18 ratings
What are we waiting for at the beginning?
-
Kyle Pitts Sr.., TE, ATL (knee): Although his practice has been limited all week, all signs point to Pitts finishing the season on the field. If the Falcons win, Carolina will make the playoffs. If not, Tampa Bay moves on.
-
Drake LondonWR, ATL (knee): London is expected to play, as is also doubtful Darnell Mooney (knee). David Sills V will see extra looks if any other receiver fails.
-
Dontayvion WeeksWR, GB (concussion): The Packers were already planning to rest several starters, so Weeks is unlikely to be a fit. Clayton Thune will start at quarterback for Jordan Love. RB Josh Jacobs nor is he expected to play much, if at all.
-
Nico CollinsWR, HOU (command decision): Looks like this is another case teams heading to the postseason rest their starting lineup. Collins is expected to be announced. inactive early Sunday morning, Xavier Hutchinson And Jaylin Noel get some fantastic value.
-
Philip RiversQB, IND (heading into the sunset… again): With the Colts eliminated from playoff contention, Riley Leonard will start in week 18. However, it wouldn't be a shock if Rivers took some snaps as a sort of ceremonial send-off.
Excluded until Sunday
-
Marvin Harrison Jr.., WR, ARI (integer): Michael Wilsonthe quest for a 1,000-yard season is within reach.
-
Rashad BatemanWR, BAL (disease): If the Ravens win, Bateman will likely make the playoffs. However, he will miss the must-win season finale on Sunday night. Devontez Walker And Tylan Wallace perhaps unexpected heroics await us.
-
Harold Fannin Jr.., TE, KLE (groin): David Njoku (knee) will also miss the final, leaving the likes Blake Whiteheart to get some unexpected gaming time.
-
Javonte WilliamsRB, DAL (shoulder): Malik Davis (calf) is also missing, which means Jadon Blue is in line for potential super sleeper status at 18 weeks.
-
Omarion HamptonPB, LAK (ankle): He's resting, as is the QB. Justin Herbert (hand). Trey Lance will start at quarterback.
-
Geno SmithQB, LV (ankle): Kenny Pickett? Aidan O'Connell? Both? Is this the end of the Pete Carroll era in Las Vegas? Is anyone shocked?
-
Aaron Jones Sr.., RB, MIN (thigh): Jordan Mason (ankle) was not included on the team's final injury report and should serve as lead defender.
-
TJ HockensonTE, MIN (shoulder): Josh Oliver will start in week 18. We may have already seen Hockenson's last game for the Vikings.
-
Alvin KamaraRB, BUT (knee): Again, Audric Estim will be the best RB option for the team.
-
Chris OlaveWR, NO (disease): Besides, Mason Tipton (groin) was placed on IR, leaving Dante Pettis, Kevin Austin Jr.. And Samori Toure Toure to hold the proverbial fort.
-
Theo JohnsonTE, NYG (disease): Daniel Bellinger will again replace the unfortunate Johnson.
-
Wan'Dale RobinsonWR, NYG (ribs): When the receiver switched to IR, Darius Slayton And Isaiah Hodgins there will be those who Jackson Dartattractions.
-
Brice HallRB, RB, New York (white): Isaiah Davis (concussion) is also out of action, leaving Kene Nwangu And Khalil Herbert stand behind the QB Brady Cook.
-
Dallas GoedertTE, PHI (string): The Eagles had already planned to rest most of their starters, but Goedert was actually injured. However, he should be back in the playoffs. Meet the Week 18 QB Combo Tanner McKee and TE Grant Calcaterra.
-
Gunnar HelmTHE, TEN (remaining): Chig Okonkwo will be able to showcase his talents as “free agent aspirations.”
-
Jayden DanielsQB, WAS (elbow): WITH Marcus Mariota (arm) also hurts, Josh Johnson occupies the chairman's chair at the commanders' meeting for the last time.
What are we watching late
-
Dalton KincaidTHE, BUF (I know): There's no reason for Kincaid to take any chances in Week 18, and besides, Dawson Knox (knee) has been removed from the final injury report and will play.
-
Rome OdunzeWR, CHI (foot): It's probably best for the Bears to make sure Odunze is healthy for the playoffs. Luther Burden III (quad) was not listed on the final injury report and will play.
-
Amon-Ra St. BrownWR, DET (knee): St. Brown tends to dress on Sunday, but with nothing to play for, it's not unreasonable to think he could pack up early.
-
Isaiah PachecoRB, KS (risk aversion): If he sits down, which is quite likely, Kareem Hunt And Brashard Smith would share the responsibilities of the Republic of Belarus.
-
Xavier WorthyWR, KC (illness): Downgraded to questionable late in the week in a meaningless game for Kansas City? Look elsewhere for your WR needs.
-
Kimani VidalRB, LAK (neck): Hasan Haskins (concussion) is also in question. Someone will have to be in the huddle, but it may not matter who it ends up being.
-
Blake ChoirRB, LAR (ankle): Kyren Williams (Ankle) has been training more than Corum this week so he could get more touches. It is also possible that the team will turn to Ronnie Rivers and/or Harkes Hunter to give their best RB duo some rest.
-
Tyler HigbeeTE, LAR (ankle): Terrence Ferguson (hamstring) is questionable. Colby Parkinson is in line to start, although Higbee was activated from IR and could see some action in Week 18.
-
Davante AdamsWR, LAR (hamstring): The Rams could potentially give Adams some playing time to see how close he is to 100% completion, or they could just keep him for the postseason.
-
De'Von AchaneRB, MIA (shoulder): Expect Jaylen Wright process transmissions from Quinn Evers.
-
Jaylen WaddleWR, MIA (ribs): It will likely be a game-time call, but don't count on Waddle to make the play. And also, TE Darren Waller (groin) was placed on IR. Greg Dulcic could see some additional targets.
