Fantasy Football Week 14 WR Start/Sits: Who to play, who to bench

This looks like a good week for Justin Jefferson to break out of his slump. He has a great matchup against Washington in Week 14, and Jefferson has a big game ahead of him. But can we trust him?

The problem, as we well know, is the Vikings' quarterback play, with JJ McCarthy returning after missing Week 12 in Seattle with a concussion. Max Brosmer started against the Seahawks and it was a disaster, including holding Jefferson to two catches for a career-low 4 yards on six targets.

Jefferson is now scoring 11.1 PPR points or fewer in four straight games and has just two touchdowns on the season. He still has plenty of chances, scoring at least six goals in every game this season, but McCarthy hasn't scored those goals.

It's best to treat Jefferson as a low-tier No. 2 Fantasy receiver, but hopefully he can perform well against the Commanders, who rank 5th in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. Against Washington, there were 13 receivers with at least 12.1 PPR points, and I hope Jefferson reaches at least that level of production.

We're obviously used to more from Jefferson, but this season has been a downer due to poor quarterback play. He could still make a difference starting this week, but just keep Jefferson's expectations in check until McCarthy starts playing better for the Vikings – if that's possible.
