This post is so coded Canadian that you can practically smell the maple syrup and hear a distant “sorry” as you read it. (Because sorry, this is written by a BuzzFeed Canada contributor.) But yes, Canada's favorite actor from Canada's favorite TV series has just appeared in a movie filmed in – yes, you guessed it – beloved Canada, and the entire nation is collectively losing its polite minds. (I've never said “Canada” so many times in one paragraph. I feel like someone talking about tariffs.)
Is this your favorite show? Degrassi. This beloved Canadian star? Lauren Collins (AKA Paige). And the sneaky role she got? The Hunter's Wife Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein — filmed right here in Toronto.
And while some people got it right away, others (like me) missed it completely. I must say…the huge cloak and massive hat did the trick. too much Fine. But yes, this is our very own Paige! And the Internet couldn't be happier.
