He's back. Tim Kane, co-creator of the original Interplay game Precipitation And Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines the programmer retired and returned to Obsidian to work on a game he can't talk about yet due to legal paperwork. “I'm back at Obsidian,” Kane announced in the latest video posted to his YouTube channel, where he talks about a lot of things. “I work there as a full-time employee and in person, so not remotely. I'm no longer a contractor. So that means I'm not working elsewhere, although there is at least one game that I have worked on. [in that capacity for another studio] which I know will be sent.”

Sensing a swarm of speculation buzzing at his door, Cain quickly said, “I can’t talk about the project I’m working on at Obsidian just because it’s under a non-disclosure agreement. Don't try to guess, you won't guess correctly. I would say I'm probably a lot less retired now.” Hell no, don't ask, documents.

Despite the new job, the veteran developer currently has no plans to stop posting on his YouTube channel, where he began discussing stories from his career after being told a memoir he had written was a bit boring.

“No one at Obsidian even remotely suggested that I should stop this,” Kane explained. “In fact, many of my colleagues said that they watch this channel. And I know they did because they started telling me which videos they liked the most or which stories I told they thought were funny. So people say they like it. I will continue to do this as long as I have stories to tell. As long as you have some really good questions that I think need a video to answer and that I can answer.”

Good news, especially since part of this particular video includes a clip of Cain feeding a squirrel a walnut, which he says is essentially a tax he now has to pay whenever he leaves the place he recently moved to.

Now we'll just have to wait and see what this mysterious game from the studio behind The Outer Worlds 2 and its quirky mushroom sibling is. Recognized The original Falloutman is back this year.
