Fall Guys veterans establish new studio Panic Stations

Group of exes Autumn guys developers installed Panic stationsa new British studio that will focus on creating cooperative multiplayer games.

The nascent studio wants to create games that “bring friends together through chaos, laughter and shared moments.”

Panic Stations is part of Skeleton Crew, a new group of video game companies united by common values.

Skeleton Crew revealed the secret earlier this year and is the brainchild of Mediatonic co-founder Paul Croft. The collective intends to create and empower small teams with a penchant for “creativity and kindness.”

Panic Stations is the first member of the Skeleton Crew to officially take flight. The founding team includes Paul Croft (Founding Partner), Josh Tarrant (Founding Partner), Steve Taylor (CTO), Dan Huang (Art and Music Director), Joe Walsh (Design Director) and Oliver Hindle (Social and Community Director).

Every member of the founding team worked on Autumn guysis a comical battle royale game released by Mediatonic in 2020. After she got down to business, Autumn guys and Mediatonic were acquired by Epic Games in 2021. Subsequently, the game became free and exceeded 50 million players.

After about two years, Epic Games laid off 18 percent of employees. He promised to continue to support Autumn guys at the time, but reviews posted online by Mediatonic staff indicated that the studio was devastated by cuts.
