ARK Raiders continues to receive updates and fixes, and while not all of them are equally great, they are all equally significant.
This time around, Embark Studios has made small changes in an attempt to limit exploits, cheats and other unsportsmanlike behavior, while adding a little trolling and fun to it all in a completely unique way of dealing with nefarious players.
Here's everything that's included ARK Raiders Patch 1.4.0 released on November 27th.
Everything included in the 1.4.0 patch for ARC Raiders.
As stated in the introduction, ARK Raiders Update 1.4.0 is a minor one and focuses primarily on fixing exploits and cheats that were causing players to glitch through locked doors to gain access to great loot for free, as well as those using weapon swaps to increase the rate of fire.
These two fixes are the highlight of the patch, especially the first one in which Embark Studios implemented a mechanic that burns anyone who accidentally walks through the doors to a crisp. which leads to funny and hilarious moments that are shared on social media. An exploit that allowed players to “shoot faster than intended by switching to a quick-use item and back again” has also been fixed, making gunfights more likely to be fair and cheat-free.
In addition to these targeted fixes, the following have also been changed, updated, or introduced:
- The locked spaceport control room can no longer be accessed from the outside.
- Low resolution textures should no longer appear in the main menu.
- Players can no longer push each other by jumping on each other's backs.
- Fixed lighting artifacts when loading the map.
- Raider Voice settings remain after restarting the game.
Although the fixes made in the patch, however small, will make the game better, especially when it comes to preventing players from unfairly obtaining high-quality loot, which usually requires keys (and therefore a lot of experience and luck).
