First major Fortnite The New Year's update is coming soon in the form of v39.20, and there's a lot of new content in the store.

Earlier this year, Epic Games revealed its annual update plan for Fortnite. Hence, we have known the release date since then, but this countdown will help you stay updated about the upcoming update.

Fortnite Update v39.20 is rolling out worldwide Friday, January 9, on all platforms. There is little chance of delay and the next countdown will expire as soon as the update goes live.

The countdown is based on the next time.

• 10am Central European Time

This is the usual schedule that Epic has followed for all major updates over the past few months. However, it is worth noting that server startup times will vary depending on the region. There will also be preliminary maintenance where Fortnite and all of its modes will be completely unavailable.

What to expect from the Fortnite v39.20 update

The first update of the new year is dedicated to the theme South Parkand here are some key points to pay attention to.

It will be interesting to see how South Park-themed cosmetics appear in the game. There will be skins based on all the main characters, including Stan, Kyle and Kenny. The pass is suitable for those who want to add a bunch of cosmetics to their collection.

I also expect certain quests dedicated to South Park collaboration with new NPCs that will be on the map. For now, all we have to do is wait for the update to release on Friday.
