The victim of a homicide earlier this week at an Etobicoke convenience store has been identified as a 35-year-old Brampton man.

The victim, now identified as Derrick Cheung, was found dead.
An autopsy was completed and the death was ruled a homicide Wednesday.
This is Toronto's 33rd homicide of 2025.

Police did not provide any additional details about how Cheung died.
On Tuesday, Lennard Emptage, 36, of Georgetown, was arrested and charged with improper/indecent interference with a corpse.
The next day, he was additionally charged with second-degree murder.
