Escape from Tarkov has a mostly negative rating today after stability and performance issues debuted on the highly anticipated Steam yesterday, leaving players unable to even log in, let alone play.
While acknowledging that players are experiencing “issues connecting to servers and logging into the game launcher,” developer Battlestate said its “technical team is actively working to stabilize the game's servers and login services” and apologized for any inconvenience caused.
However, that hasn't stopped thousands of dissatisfied people leaving negative reviews, with only 34% of the 7,200+ reviews left since yesterday's launch reporting a positive experience. Some claim that they I can't even create an account” due to connection issues and ongoing server/site maintenance.
“Escape from Tarkov is not a game. This is a cosmic punishment sent by indifferent gods to remind humanity of its insignificance.” expressed an opinion one reviewer. The sound does not work, everyone moves absolutely silently. Bosses and Scavs walk through doors as if they don't exist. Players are plunged into despair the moment another server error occurs. Every raid is a dissertation of disillusionment, a Shakespearean tragedy written by drunken raccoons on fire. You don’t play Escape from Tarkov, you endure, you endure until madness becomes your only friend.”

Another, this time giving a thumbs up, wrote: “Escape From Maintenance: Mental Warfare 10/10 is so difficult that I can't even create an account without going crazy.” Someone else just said: “They should implement a feature that allows you to actually play the game.”
Earlier today, Battlestate acknowledged the problems and promised that their team is working on a fix. However, at the time of writing, there have been no further updates from the developer on social media or Steam.
Last year, the developer of Escape from Tarkov Battlestate apologized after that You have decided to lock the “exclusive” PvE mode for Unheard Edition for 300 euros. Following player feedback, he stated that he was “very sorry that fans and the gaming community as a whole feel this way.”
